As we wrap up the PRMBC Member Highlights for Black History Month, we shine a light on Reverend Alvin C. Carter, a true embodiment of resilience, faith, and dedication. Hailing from Madison, Mississippi, Reverend Carter's journey is marked by academic excellence, earning degrees from Tougaloo College, Liberty University, and Jackson State University. Beyond academia, he serves as a guiding light at Tougaloo College, where he holds various roles, including Activity Director and Faculty Athletic Representative.
Reverend Carter's commitment to his community extends to his spiritual calling as well. Ordained by Reverend Dr. Matthew L. Canada at Pilgrim Rest, he now pastors at Beulah Grove M. B. Church, infusing his leadership with humility and grace. Reverend Carter's impact transcends his titles, as he embodies approachability, innovation, and a unifying spirit, bridging generational gaps with ease.
His favorite quote, "I've Learned to Take Life One Day At A Time Because I Tried It the Other Way, & It Just Didn’t Work," serves as a guiding principle, reflecting his wisdom and perspective.
Today, we honor Reverend Alvin C. Carter for his unwavering dedication, humility, and inspiring example of service.
